Sophie Edwards Inc. was born out of a heart of gratefulness. The Whiten family consisting of Bobby and Jore wanted to leave a legacy that their son B3 could be proud of. So it started with a food pantry and has grown into much more.
Bobby and Jore named the organization using the first name of Jore’s grandmother and the middle name of Bobby’s grandfather. The impact of kindness their grandparents showed both family members and complete strangers are the motivating factor behind this charge.
Feeding Our Community
At our core we understand that the plague of hunger sees no economic classes, ethnicity classes nor social status. So to combat hunger we have set up a 24 hour food pantry as well as partnerships with local food banks and other organizations to deliver food to those in need within our community and surrounding areas.
Continuing Educational Opportunities
Understanding both personal and professional development, we have partnered with Educational leaders, Trade Leaders and Business Professionals to deliver powerful and effective training seminars within our community and surrounding areas.
It Takes A Village
Although Sophie Edwards is a family founded non-profit, we understand that in order to truly make an impact we need each other. Ubuntu is a Bantu word that translate into “I am because we are.” Let us all echo the concept of unity together and build greatness one community at a time!
